Thanks for your input Nieczar! It really helped us out!
I'm jealous! I never find much about Mongol brigandines...

Je suis jaloux! Et j'ai hâte de voir la brigandine que tu vas faire! Ca va changer de la lamellaire! Bon courage à présent!

Yes, unfortunately, a lot of work was done by Gorelik and Bona for example, but they don't publish in English or French... In France, we have Lebedynsky, but he mainly publishes books on iranophone steppe people (Scythians, Sarmatians, Alans)... I don't think he's much interested in Mongol or Turkic tribes.

Nieczar, do you by any chance have the book by Gorelik: Armiya Tataro-Mongol X-XIV vv ?
I don't think the book is published in English, and I can't find it in Russian libraries in France.

hello

I've this book as PDF
...and few others

there's one problem with Gorelik - his recnstructions aren't "pure" by sources ...I mean he know the oryginal sources but he make a lot of stylisations and interpretations by ideas ...however everything is absolutly in whole historical context ...opposite to Osprey

so, in my opinion his elaborates are nr 1 as the begining of reconstruction of Mongol Army ...after this we know "what?" and "where?" to search

That's exactly what I believed, actually. Gorelik makes a lot of interpretations with only very little sources.
