hello

see the picture : http://smhospital.fatal.ru/HISTORY/helm ... _11big.jpg

it's some fragment of chess figure ,there's the guy in the strange kattle-hut with half-mask ...I found it's from 1200-1220 (?)

maybe somoone knows something more about this artefact ?

...I think the helmet in this type is very interesting

I think it just shows a kettle hat over a coif covering the mouth.

Yes, I do agree with Ivan. I mean the "half-mask" you see is a broken part from the face of this figure.

tahnx for the answer

hmmm? ...in my opinion lower part of the face isn't broken ...but I agree it could be a coif covering the face

...it could be...
...but we don't know it without any doubt...I wish it is the half-mask ( this name is popular in easten part of Europe for this kind of the face protection )

however ,I still don't know where is this figure from and what exactly period is it ?

There is a bigger picture? I can't see the (broken) details on the face...
