Hello, I need data about the Louis XII's soldiers: i have "Voyage de genes" by Bourdichon but it's too poor to make a reconstrution.
I hope in a museum with clear examples about standard, pennon etc.

Maybe Lysenard would help you. He started a reenactment of those kind of soldiers. But what type of information do you need? The Hedgehog is the symbol of Louis XII because of his sentence: "who's rubbing will hurt himself". The flag whith the sun is the "oriflamme" banner of kings of France, lost.

Not the banner with fleur-de-lys. The "oriflamme" is the banner of the Saint-patron of the french kingdom's, Saint-Denis. The tradition wants that the king hold his kingdom from Saint-Denis. So saint-Denis his the suzerain of the king of France, but the king of France his not the vassal of the abbaye, he's the vassal of the Saint. So when he marches to war, first he passes trought Saint-Denis, takes the oliflamme showing that is the god champion's.

No problem for your english, I have an horrible gascon accent. And I recomand you to rebuild a gascon infantery man, most uses with piquard as french natives troops.

This is a reproduction of the XIXc, the true banner was lost if I remember well, and I'm sure that the one of the XIXc is not the true representation of the XV-XVIc.

I have nearly the same project (a gascon crossbowman of the 1510's), and I've collect some infos about militaries outfits of this period. I'll send them to you in few days.

to be precise i need information about the troops of the Duke of Nemours.I do not understand how they were made.
berault stuart was an armagnac's commandant but his troops were in Canosa first 13/2/1503. i don't known.
Is correct for me making french knights in this way?

little update: Aubigny's troops were in Calabria.
