Message Penny Tubbs ce matin :
"Hi Guys
We had a meeting of Directors on Monday evening. we were unanimous in our decision that the Festival should go ahead-- subject of course to further weather. If conditions stay as they are, with a few showers, then all will be well. If there are further downpours we will keep you informed.
There have had to be considerable changes to the site and the locations. Please be flexible and do what the marshalls, gate crew and security tell you. Be patient too.
Basically all the fields down Lower Lode Lane were under water on Sunday. receding now but not usable.
The battle will take place on Windmill Hill (as in 2007)
Those of you who normally camp on overflow plastic will be elsewhere and will have to walk to the battle. Sorry.
We have brought in trackway etc and worked our butts off to make things happen.
so
Please try and share cars.
Please think about camping plastic if you normally camp on the Batlefield. Any car passes will still be valid
please don't bring too much kit, huge awnings, or extra tents "just for kit" the conditions are soggy and crowded, think travelling light.
Please bring modern sensible footwear for fighting in
Plesae be flexible and bring your sense of humour.
Bring straw/sawdust if you have it.
if any of your group has mobility problems please let me know so that places can be allocated fairly. Be aware that walking about the site will be difficult
If your group -- or large amounts of them-- decide to stay away we will quite understand. Please let me know by email ASAP to help with organising. Yes, you will get an invite next year
I will be away from my computer for large amounts of time; but will respond.
You will need to "camp cosy"
Cheers
Penny "
