hello

about one week ago I made this helmet :

http://photofile.name/users/nieczar/254 ... nImageLink

helmet is welded but decorativ elements are made by the hand tools in brass plate 1mm

the helmet from Nemia is rebuilded norman-style helmet ...the same is with St. Vaclav helmet ...only style of decorativ elements is differend

...and here is my question ...are there some other exemples of rebuilded norman or other west-style helmets in Europe ? ...I ask because I'm not specialist in the case of west-style helmet and I need to know more

thanx for any help

je trouve l'aspect trop plastique
mais la forme et les gravures sont nickel !

Hey!!This is another great job!!
I like the chiseling,do you paint the inside of lines?,it seems to be very dark, but very clearly.

And sorry for your question,I have no answer,or perhaps I did'nt understand well..
You're looking for a norman helmet who was used again in eastern europe?
what do you mean precisely with rebuilded helmed?
;-)

thanx !

yes, this is paint (for metal)

...it's easyier and better for my health than natural chemical processes for making the brass black (other colours are much simplier for making)
...in the past sometimes was used some kint of fat putty for the lines filling and black colour making ...I use just the paint ...the final efect is similar...but the price is lower

yes ,I looking for west style helmets (like norman) with new elements ,not only from East

rebuilded - I mean changed ...sorry for my horroble eanglish

no, problem ...it's not "black magic"

interesting is in the Past was used many kind of maker's tricks ...and many kinds of strange substances ..even someting in the kind of epoxid glue or gold and silver paint
